Jan 19th on the potomac river and it was alittle cold but wouldn't have missed this one for the world. So many great people talking and sharing fish talk. Rob and our guest for the day Brian Rupp worked on getting things ready for the days fishing that would start at 8 am on this day |
As Secretary of the Maryland Chapter my job was working the sign up table and seeing that everybody was ready to fish all 14 teams for this tournament |
By 8 am everybody was on there way out to fish and the three of us was right there with them. But before long we would be on the fish and Brian would get to see the potomac river blue cats first hand after all the talking. |
Before long Rob and myself would be on the fish as well with hopes of a big fish |
Then doing all we can to catch the winning fish it was time to head in and see how we would place on this day. Rob would be weighing in the fish as tournament dirctor and for his first time Tim said he did a great job. |
Tim Hagan would weigh in of our fish to keep things fair |
Brian Rupp showed off our big fish of the day that weighed in at 41.6 lbs |
We fish as a team and had a great time meeting so many new people and talking for a few hours after the weigh in. But on this day 6th place was as good as we could do. Not bad for us as we just got started less than a year ago. We ended up with two fish 41.6 & 22.2 for 63.8 lbs and first place was 89.6. If you would like to see all the great people and where they finished up at this tournament check out all the info @ Jan 19th fort washington |
